Suitability Of Procedural Programs
Procedural programming is most definitely suitable for making graphical applications, this is because procedural programming allows you to keep re-reusing a block of code over and over again. It is also known as one of the best alternatives for making graphical based applications due to operating systems such as Linux. Also graphical applications have to be given certain and specific steps in order to work and because of this it is a perfect match with procedural programming as the whole concept of procedural programming languages are to set straight and simple or in other words specific steps for a program to work. However there are better methods for graphical applications out there. Procedural programming is suitable for making graphical based application however they are not the best.
Transcript of The suitability. Assignment 1 part 5 suitability of event driven programs for non-graphical. Suitability of procedural programs for graphical. Dear software engineers: I am currently teaching a procedural programming unit (using the C language) to a group of Level 3 students in the UK. Here is the Unit 16.
A better method to use is Event driven programming as they are made for the purpose of making graphical applications.
Have to write a report about this and don't have a clue what to write about, all my teacher keeps saying is to write about Fortran of visual basic and why they are better suited to creating graphical applications. Dont know if its actually quite simple but since we have not been taught about visual basic.

Have to write a report about this and don't have a clue what to write about, all my teacher keeps saying is to write about Fortran of visual basic and why they are better suited to creating graphical applications. Dont know if its actually quite simple but since we have not been taught about visual basic or fortran it seems like an impossible report to write. Your teacher is talking about languages that are no longer studied. He is trying to show off by stating how long he has been in the programming world. He has been in for a vary long time if he programs fortran. For VB its easy talk about how you can use the GUI. VB uses GUI objects and then you can program that object to do some action.
Silver light is also something new that VB is doing to try and stay in the market, although i think silver light is in C#.Net. VB.NET and C#.NET are all Microsoft, Just so i don't lose you. When comparing to Fortran, you need to remember they didn't Use OOP (Object oriented programing) Its and older language. It was made to do complex computations. Its a math based language designed around math. There is a lot of information about both and what they were built for. I hope I gave you a good start.
